Project Management

The Security Logistics Group provides a partnership for its clients' state-of-the-art integrated security systems and services.  The project management process is divided into three services:

1.  Design and Scope of Work
2.  Bidding and Implementation
3.  Management and After Sales

Specialized Project Management
The Project Management Process:

The design and scope of work process begins with our project manager working with the customer in identifying the security system requirement, layout, and engineering.  We conduct a site survey and site assessment of the facility, configure the systems specs, and code compliance requirements.  Once the security system has been designed to meet the customers’ requirements, a detailed scope of work is presented in a bid package to numerous security providers (minimum of three) for pricing and scheduling requirements.

The bidding and implementation process begins with a vendor selection process predicated on the scope of work, geographical area of installation, and time-lines.  The Security Logistics Group communicates the design and scope of work to the service providers in the form of a project lead sheet.  The security providers are given a window of time to visit the site of installation, request additional information on the project and communicate with local governmental agencies regarding local codes and restrictions.  The service providers will return their security proposals to The Security Logistics Group within the defined time and each proposal is reviewed to ensure compliance to scope of work.  A service provider is selected and the implementation process begins with a letter of intent and purchase order delivered to the appropriate service provider.  A start date is confirmed.

The Security Logistics Group will provide management and after sales of the installation process.  We will ensure the security equipment meets the design and quoted specs.  Upon completion of the installation process, a final walk through will be conducted with the security provider and your organization's point-of-contact.  The system is tested.  The security provider will submit an invoice to the Security Logistics Group for review and acceptance.  The service provider's invoice will be forwarded to the customer for payment.

Servicing & Monitoring:

The Security Logistics Group will continue to monitor the security system during the next twelve months of warranty to validate the systems functionality.  Once the warranty has expired, we will continue to monitor each security project for issues and service problems.  Our large network of service providers will be available to respond to our valued customers’ security problems 24X7.  We maintain a detailed data base on each security project, supplemented by a hard copy file for the customers’ records.  The total security process is done as a single point of contact with The Security Logistics Group.

In addition, our U.L. Alarms Central Station can provide your organization alarms monitoring at a low monthly fee.
Our clients have the option to pick any of the processes that works for them.  The Security Logistics Group can provide expert services on a consulting rate or project management percentage.
